About the Program
The purpose of the Certified Logistics Technician (CLT) ® certification program is to recognize individuals who demonstrate mastery of the core competencies of material handling at the front line (entry-level to front-line supervisor) through successful completion of the certification assessments. The goal of the CLT certification program is to raise the level of performance of logistics technicians both to assist individuals in finding higher-wage jobs and to help employers ensure their workforce increases the company’s productivity and competitiveness.
The CLT program consists of two parts:
- Foundational-Level Certified Logistics Associate (CLA) ® Certificate
- Mid-Level Technical CLT Certification (CLT)
CLT is a nationally portable, industry-led program that prepares individuals for front-line material handling and supply chain logistics jobs in fulfillment centers, warehouses, distribution centers, and factories. This online training program includes a stackable certification for employees with the 21st Century, in-demand skills needed for long-term career paths for over 5.8 million supply chain logistics jobs.
In December 2011, MSSC was accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) under ISO 17024 (personnel certification). CPT and CLT are the first credentials to receive this important distinction in the manufacturing and logistics industries. MSSC is also a founding partner of the NAM-endorsed Skills Certification System. These achievements increase the value of MSSC certifications to both workers and employers.
